Brad Jones was brought to Liverpool in the summer of 2010 to provide
back-up for Pepe Reina.
Having
arrived in England from hometown club Bayswater City SC back in July 1998, the
Australia international spent the majority of his career before Liverpool as an
understudy at Middlesbrough.
Occasional
moments in the limelight included deputising for Mark Schwarzer in a memorable
UEFA Cup semi-final triumph over Steaua Bucharest in 2006.
Having
punctuated his time in the north-east with loan spells to Shelbourne,
Stockport, Rotherham, Blackpool and Sheffield Wednesday, Jones eventually
became first-choice at the Riverside at the start of the 2008-09 season.
He was
set to feature for Australia in the 2010 World Cup until relinquishing his spot
due to his son Luca's illness.
A move
to Liverpool followed in August 2010, with his Reds debut arriving at Anfield a
month later on September 22 - though it was one to forget as the club slipped
to an embarrassing penalties defeat to bottom division Northampton Town in the
League Cup.
With
opportunities limited, Jones joined Derby County on loan for the final few months
of 2010-11 - but by the end of 2011, football was put into tragic perspective
when five-year-old Luca lost his battle with leukaemia.
Pitch
time was proving hard to come by at Anfield but just days after the birth of
his second child, Jones was handed an opportunity to shine on one of the
biggest stages of all.
With
Reina suspended, Alexander Doni started our league clash at Ewood Park in April
2012 - but his dismissal saw our Aussie custodian introduced, and straight away
he saved a penalty.
The
following weekend Jones helped the Reds overcome neighbours Everton at Wembley
to reach the FA Cup final.

Peter Gulacsi is a young goalkeeper with hopes of one day becoming
Liverpool's No.1.
So far
his experience as a stopper has been gained away from Anfield during a series
of loan spells to Hull City, Tranmere Rovers and Hereford United.
He has
also featured more than 20 times for the U21s in his native Hungary.
Gulacsi
was signed in August 2008 after a successful year on loan. He came from MTK
Hungaria alongside Krisztian Nemeth and Andras Simon but has outstayed both at
Anfield.
He was
part of our treble-winning reserve team of 2007.

Liverpool secured the services of highly rated Welsh youth international
goalkeeper Danny Ward from Wrexham in January 2012.
The
stopper will be based at the Academy and is eligible to play for Mike Marsh's
U18s and Rodolfo Borrell's reserve team squad.
Ward,
who made his U18s debut against Bolton on February 4, 2012, signed for Wrexham
as a 14-year-old.
The
keeper turned in a Man of the Match performance during his senior debut in a
one-off loan game for Wrexham's Blue Square Bet Premier League rivals Tamworth
last season.
Internationally,
Ward has played at schoolboy, U17s and U19s level for his country and featured
