Anfield is buzzing! A new season is upon us. Brand new team, brand
new manager, but the same old club and the same old captain. 2012-13 will be a
season where we (Liverpool FC) will be rebuilding, and won't be aiming anything
out of the blue, but steady and hopeful.
Brendan Rodgers has taken charge at Anfield on the 1st of June
2012. With him, he brings his style of the famous Tiki-Taka that helped the
international red brigade, the Spanish side, to win the 3rd major title in a
matter of 4 years: another Euro (1st team to defend its title). Also, he was
expected to sign Gylfi Sigurdsson, who was on loan during Rodgers' tenure at
Swansea City FC. But then, in the last moment, Tottenham Hotspurs swooped down
on Gylfi with a better offer and signed him.
Rodgers and Liverpool FC start of the pre-season with a tour of
the Americas during July, where they will play against Toronto FC on the 21st
July, AS Roma on 25th July and Tottenham Hotspurs on 28th July.
