A draw against
Toronto FC? That too for Liverpool FC, the team that has won 5 Champions
Leagues, you must be kidding me!
No No, its true.
No No, its true.
Yeah, its true, Toronto FC 1-1
Liverpool FC.
But then, you mustn't forget that
Liverpool didn't field not more that 5 regular 1st team Liverpool players
(Carragher, Enrique, Adam (Not so regular, I guess), Skrtel and Lucas). There were lot of positives on the pitch and a few not
so positive as well!
Liverpool fielded around 23 players with TWO different sets of starting XI's for each half and Lucas coming as a substitute, his first appearance in a red jersey in 8 month since that unfortunate incident that cut short his last season on 1st of December 2011 when he collided with Juan Mata.

The following were
the players who represented Liverpool FC against Toronto FC:
1st Half:
Brad Jones, Andre Wisdom, Stephen Sama, Jamie Carragher, Jose Enrique, Jay Spearing, Alberto Aquilani, Charlie Adam, Daniel Pacheco, Nathan Ecclestone, Jordon Ibe.
2nd Half:
Peter Gulacsi, Jon Flanagan, Martin Skrtel, Danny Wilson, Jack Robinson, Krisztian Adorjan, Jonjo Shelvey, Suso, Joe Cole, Adam Morgan, Raheem Sterling
2nd Half Substitution: Adorjan off, Lucas Leiva on.
As far as I am concerned, the results doesn't matter one bit, not for this, not for the rest of the pre-season matches. As long as, Brendan Rodgers has found exactly what he is looking for and he gets the players to do it and they start playing the ball around, creating chances and scoring them, unlike last season.

Positives:
1st half
· We had quite a lot of possession,
almost 75%, I think.
· We were playing the ball around
nicely and getting to link up everyone.
· It was nice to see everyone
getting a chance and most of them utilizing it.
· Brad Jones, Dani Pacheco, Alberto
Aquilani, Stephen Sama, Jordon Ibe, Andre Wisdom everyone impressed.
· Good to see Charlie Adam back from
injury.
2nd half
· A whole different line-up was sent
out by Brendon Rodgers, so quite a lot of players got a chance to play.
· Again in the 2nd half,
we got quite lot of the possession, but we did utilize the ball quite a bit
more than what we did in the 1st half.
· Jack Robinson, Danny Wilson, Jonjo
Shelvey, Suso, Sterling, Morgan, Cole all impressed in the 2nd half.
· Good to see Lucas Leiva making a
comeback after an injury layoff of 8 months.
Negatives:
1st half
· Even though we had quite a lot of
possession, we didn’t utilize the ball, made hardly a chance or two in the 1st half.
· A free-kick from Charlie Adam,
gave the possession away without another red player touching the ball.
· Charlie Adam: Didn’t have a great
outing; he had an average half. That is not what you expect from a player of
his quality.
· Nathan Eccleston: Didn’t have a
great outing; was quite average, and gave up quickly. Also, didn’t use
opportunities as and when it occurred.
2nd half
· Again dead-ball situation was not
handled well.
· Peter Gulacsi: Had an above
average outing, but he did let in the goal; but then, he tried the best he
could to not allow them to score.
· Krisztan Adorjan: Was quite Ok,
but didn’t get much of the ball in the 15-20 minutes he was on field. Rodgers substituted
Adorjan to bring on Lucas.
